An Affair to Remember, A Cover-up Benghazi Style

“Love and scandal are the best sweeteners of tea.” Henry Fielding

With the nation's top spook ensnared in an affair to remember by engaging in hanky panky with  a much younger married woman with two children, it raises even more interesting questions.  The Benghazi fiasco may not have been an issue that was prominent on the radar screens of most Americans but now that sex has entered the picture, it's suddenly a red meat issue.  Amazingly, it appears that America's spooks are spying on each other to dig up dirt when they want to bring somebody down or find a sacrificial lamb for a secret mission gone wildly wrong that needs a cover-up and a scapegoat.

Does anybody except high level government officials who authorized the mission really know the truth about Benghazi? I doubt it but everybody is speculating anyway, including me.

My Two Cents on Benghazi

But now that Benghazi has acquired sexual star power simply because it's widely believed to be a CIA mission gone bad and Patraeus lorded over the CIA, even Drudge is loading up with fun Petraeus headline links to satisfy our lust for scandalous entertainment.

FBI SPIED ON CIA DIRECTOR, WOMAN; EMAILS?
Did Mistress's Husband Write to NYTIMES 'Ethicist' About Affair?

The last item is especially deliciously salacious by American standards because it speculates as to whether or not the husband of the female in question wrote an anonymous "Dear Abby" styled letter seeking advice over his wife's alleged affair with a very prominent man.
Here's a letter to the New York Times Magazine's "ethicist," which was published over the summer:
"My wife is having an affair with a government executive. His role is to manage a project whose progress is seen worldwide as a demonstration of American leadership. (This might seem hyperbolic, but it is not an exaggeration.) I have met with him on several occasions, and he has been gracious. (I doubt if he is aware of my knowledge.) I have watched the affair intensify over the last year, and I have also benefited from his generosity. He is engaged in work that I am passionate about and is absolutely the right person for the job. I strongly feel that exposing the affair will create a major distraction that would adversely impact the success of an important effort. My issue: Should I acknowledge this affair and finally force closure? Should I suffer in silence for the next year or two for a project I feel must succeed? Should I be “true to my heart” and walk away from the entire miserable situation and put the episode behind me? NAME WITHHELD"
There is, as one might imagine, much speculation that this is somehow related to CIA director David Petraeus's affair with biographer Paula Broadwell. Or it could be completely unrelated.
It appears that the Benghazi truth, whatever it is, may permanently be vanquished to the lurid tales of raging hormones. It works every time, as succinctly worded by a big Drudge headline under a photo.

COVERT OPERATION: SEX UNDER THE DESK

Yep, sex under the desk will absolutely knock Benghazi and almost everything else except more sex under the desk and off the radar of Americans.  It's not likely that we'll ever know the truth about what happened in Benghazi and those who care to know will speculate for all eternity as the CIA pulls off, yet again, another successful propaganda coup.

Even the Hildabeast is running from Benghazi and she's the Secretary of State who runs the embassies and consulates.

Clinton Turns Down Request to Testify on Benghazi Next Week

Apparently,  Hilary Clinton doesn't want anybody to know what she knows about Benghazi and suborning perjury is an issue she is intimately familiar with, given her hubby's own raucous sexcapades with, low and behold, another woman named Paula that resulted in his impeachment, here.
